FAQ

How does the 20 liter desert air cooler work?

Water soaks the pad inside, and the fan pulls air through the wet pad, so cooler air comes out. It works best in hot, dry weather.

Is this desert air cooler good for a home?

Yes. The 20 liter size suits a bedroom or sitting room, and you can move it between rooms.

How often do I need to refill the tank?

It depends on the fan strength and the heat. With 20 liters it holds more than small coolers, so you refill less often.

Does it cool in high humidity?

A desert cooler relies on water evaporating, so it is strongest in dry heat. In high humidity the effect is smaller, as with every desert cooler.

Does it need installation?

No. No technician, no fitting. Fill it and plug it in.

How do I clean it?

Unplug it, empty the old water, rinse the tank with clean water and refill. Do this every few days.

Can I return it?

Yes, you have a 30-day return guarantee under our returns policy.

About this product

The DENX 20 liter desert air cooler is a water based air cooler, the same idea as the coolers every Iraqi home knows, in a size made for one room. Fill the tank, switch it on, and the air comes out cooler and softer than a normal fan.

The 20 liter tank is a middle size: bigger than small desk coolers, so you refill less often, and lighter than big heavy coolers, so you can move it between rooms. It suits a bedroom, a sitting room or an office.

How it works: water soaks the pad inside the cooler and the fan pulls air through it, so the air comes out cooler. That is why a desert cooler works best in hot, dry weather like the Iraqi summer, and the effect gets smaller as humidity rises.

To be clear: this is a water cooler that blows cool air close to you at a low running cost. It does not seal and chill the whole room, and it needs no installation.

The price in Iraq is 116,000 IQD. Free delivery to every governorate, cash on delivery and a 30-day return guarantee.
