Sofa covers & bedding

Start by counting seats: a 5 piece set usually covers a 10 seat living room, one large sofa, two medium sofas and two armchairs, and each product page lists the sizes in centimetres, so measure the width and depth of your sofa before ordering. If you have only one sofa, choose a full cover that dresses it completely from the back to the floor.

Choose the fabric for the season and the use: a soft fur cover is warm for winter and comes in beige, brown and off white that suit most living rooms, a light embroidered jacquard cover breathes in summer, and printed and bohemian throws are the cheapest and fastest way to change the mood or protect sofas from children and stains. Non-slip models have silicone dots on the back so they stay in place after sitting.

For sleep: the hotel style 160x200 cm mattress topper is a soft microfibre layer that goes over a hard or old mattress and holds with elastic straps, so you get that hotel bed feel without replacing the mattress.

Common mistakes: washing fur in hot water so it clumps, using bleach on colours, and ironing jacquard directly. Wash cold or lukewarm on a gentle cycle, dry in the shade, and shake the fur out once dry. Before ordering, match the colour with your curtains and carpet.
